Product Details Cigarette Lighter Plug with LED Status On/Off Switch The on/off switch in the 12 VDC plug controls the power going to your 12 VDC devices. This is great for vehicles that have power sockets that are live when the ignition is off. The red LED light indicates there is power when the plug's switch is on. When the switch is off it eliminates any battery drain, and it blocks any surges to your devices caused by ignition startup.
The built in strain relief fits 16 to 18 gauge 2-conductor wire snuggly that has a total width of 1/4". This helps relieve pressure on the silver center positive, and the bronze negative solder terminals. The plug is designed for products drawing less than 10A.
